Design Notes
The company suggested we use several different 3-nucleotide codons encoded for one amino acid in these repeated amino acid sequences, so we would not get the same repeated DNA sequence. After consultation with the company, the team has made the MaSp2 synthetic DNA along with the functional primer set for the MaSp2 PCR technique
Source
MaSp2 is a repetitive amino acid sequence for making spider silk protein to make the scoby membrane more flexible and softer. Our team converted this amino acid sequence into DNA sequences. While designing the primer set of MaSp2 to do PCR technique, those primers would have bound to several places due to the repeated amino acids. Our team consulted with the Mission Biotech company, where we ordered these synthetic MaSp1, and MaSp2 DNA from.
