CaMV 35S promoter
The CaMV 35S promoter refers to the 35S promoter derived from Cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV). This promoter starts 35S RNA synthesis during plant CaMV infection and is highly expressed in many dicotyledonous plant tissues, while it is a weaker promoter in monocotyledonous plants.
The CaMV 35S promoter, as a constitutive promoter, can initiate gene expression in all tissues, with persistence and no spatiotemporal specificity; The expression levels of RNA and protein are also relatively constant.
