T7 Promoter-RBS-LuxR-B0015 Ter+Plux-RBS-sfGFP-B0015 Ter

Using the strong promoter T7, we express the quorum sensing regulatory protein LuxR and regulate the expression of the fluorescent protein gene superfold GFP. When this pathway is introduced into the host bacterium E. coli and operates normally, upon reaching a threshold concentration of exogenously added high acyl-homoserine lactone (AHL or HSL) signal molecules, it forms a complex with LuxR. This complex activates the promoter transcription encoding luciferase, and green fluorescence can be observed.
