Myc epitope tag with SphI restriction site

A myc tag is a polypeptide protein tag derived from the c-myc gene, and we added a SpHI restriction site to its N-terminal.

Usage and Biology

The Myc-tag, a commonly used tag in research and biological applications, is derived from the human c-myc oncogene (410-419 at the C-terminus). The Myc-tag is used in detecting the expression of recombinant proteins when it is fused to the protein of interest. Its sequence is EQKLISEEDL. It is commonly used in Western blotting, ELISA, protein purification or co-immunoprecipitation. This part contains a SpHI restriction site making it easier to be used in molecular cloning.
