Overview

This composite part is an inducible high-expression system to produce Ulp1 for SUMO-cleavage in microalgae. The expression of this part is triggered by nitrogen starvation. This part is based upon research from the following publication: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-69620-9

Usage and Biology

This part is used for the inducible expression of Ulp1 in a high-expression manner. CvNDI1 is a strong promoter induced via nitrogen starvation. This promoter is derived from the urea carboxylase, and can be used to increase expression up to 20-fold as compared to wild-type expression.
