Design Notes

In order for tANK6 to distinguishable from SLPmod it needed to be longer than it was. We therefore repeated the sequence 3 times and introduces cleavege sites for pancreatic elastase in between the repeats. Pancreatic elastase was chosen as a peptidase since it naturally occurs in the colon, which would be the target organ of Team lund 2021s potential future implementation. Codons were chosen manually to reduce the sequence repeats in the nucleotide sequence but still mainly use the most common codons for L. reuteri, our intended chassi.

Source

tANK6 is a peptide derived from csgA, identified by XX.

Lb. reuteri Mub .... and the sequence for it was taken from the parts registry.
