Design Notes

The repair template was made by fusing the 45 base pairs upstream of the AOX1 gene with the 45 base pairs downstream of the of the AOX1 gene.

The DNA fusion construct is complementary to the upstream region of AOX1 gene on chromosome 4 (position 1549743-1549787) and the downstream region (position 1547706-1547750) within the assembled genome of K. phaffii GS115 strain by De Schutter et al. 2009 (Accession number FN392322).
