Design Notes

This is a Bi-stable switch(toggle switch) designed for the "guard" bacteria in our project. In the presence of AIP, the expression of mcherry-ompt will be activated. And it will be secreted outside the cell, stimulate the expression of ccdB and kill the "cheater" bacteria.In the absence of AIP, the Bi-stable switch enables the "guard" bacteria to work like ordinary bacteria to produce the target protein.
