Mating factor alpha prepro-leader (MF alpha)

The Mating factor alpha prepro-leader (MF alpha) is a widely used secretion signal leader which has been discovered from the Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This factor binds with copper(II) ions. It can fuse with the coding sequence of the recombinant protein and let the protein be secreted to the extracellular. This factor will induce when working with the mating-type yeast cell.
