C-type lectin domain family 5 member A
CLEC5A is known as one of the most famous receptors that would cause dengue fever. It is on the human’s macrophage, and its binding with dengue virus would cause cytokine storm, which would lead to dengue fever. The full name of CLEC5A is C-type lectin domain family 5 member A. The binding of CLEC5A would phosphate DAP12 and activate Syk, leading to downstream signaling, which would trigger dengue fever. The part we choose is the extracellular domain of CLEC5A to be used on our project. We use it to prove that CLEC5A could bind Envelop protein on dengue virus. We amplified the extracellular domain of CLEC5A with forward and reverse primers.
