MntH

It expressed it on Bacillus thuringiensis using it to take up cadmium ions. Bacillus subtilis also belongs to the NRAMP family, which is a proton-coupled metal ion transporter.We use it to transport Cd ion into synechocystis.

Summary: We have successfully expressed MntH in E. coli DH5α(Figure1 a). At the same time, When cadmium concentrations rise, E.coli expressing MntH is more likely to die（Figure1. d), which is supposed to be the transport of cadmium into cells leading to cell death. But it showes a very strong ability to absorb cadmium.（Figure1. e）
