Applications of BBa_K3347010

This part was used inside an expression vector (BBa_K3347011) to express DeHa2.2 in E. coli to determine effectiveness against degrading PFAS. Initial results indicate that fluoride is released in greater abundance compared to a control when crude protein extract is exposed to PFAS, although follow up analysis is still needed to verify this trend and determine to what extent fluorinated compounds are hydrolyzed. The general mechanism is expected to follow the following scheme below:
