Design Notes

The part BBa_K1758323 indicated in the diagram is composed of a copper induceble promoter with an untranslated region and sfGFP for detection via fluorescence. However, for our construction we have only used the sequence corresponding to the cooper inducible promoter. We have indicated this part because a basic part composed of the single promoter region does no exists in the registry, as far as we know.

Source

The cueR activator and cooper promoter copAP were used by Bielefeld-CeBiTec in iGEM 2015. The cueR regulator stimulates the transcription of copAP, described by Outten et al. 2000. We placed the amilCP blue protein behind the copAP promoter. This chromoprotein was design by the Uppsala-Sweden team in iGEM 2011, exhibiting strong color when expressed.
