Zif268_vioB
This part is composited from the Zif268 zinc finger gene (Part:BBa_K323105) and the vioB gene, which codes for the second enzyme in the violacein biosynthetic pathway - a hemoprotein oxidase, which converts the product of VioA to a compound with an unknown chemical formula. The resulting proteins are connected with a glycine serine linker. Therefore, the product of the DNA sequence is a chimeric VioB enzyme, which binds to a specific DNA sequence.
