HivC_vioD
This part is composited from the HivC zinc finger gene(Part:BBa_K165006) and the vioD gene, which codes for the fourth enzyme in the violacein biosynthetic pathway - an FAD dependent monooxygenase, that acts by hydroxylation of intermediates and passes them on to the VioC enzyme, which forms violacein. The resulting proteins are connected with a glycine serine linker. Therefore, the product of the DNA sequence is a chimeric VioD enzyme, which binds to a specific DNA sequence.
