This part is composited from the Blues zinc finger gene(Part:BBa_K323136) and the vioA gene, which codes for the first enzyme in the violacein biosynthetic pathway - an FAD dependent L-tryptophan oxidase. The resulting proteins are connected with a glycine serine linker. Therefore, the product of the DNA sequence is a chimeric VioA enzyme, which binds to a specific DNA sequence.
