mRFP use in yeast

Red fluorescent protein gene is a new fluorescent protein gene isolated from sea anemone Discoso-masp. Its maximum absorption spectrum is 583 nm, which can be detected without any pretreatment. Red fluorescent protein has been widely used as a reporter gene for gene expression in eukaryotic cells such as animals, plants and yeasts because of its strong red fluorescence tissue penetration. It has undergone codon optimization for being suitable for yeast. In our project, it was transformed into Saccharomyces cerevisiae to characterize the parallel transfer of chromosomes.
