CRISPR array that targets the genomic DNA of E.coli - expression controlled via the Mnt repressor
The CRISPR array sequence needed to guide the Cas3 nuclease to its cut sites in the genome of E.coli under the control of the Mnt promoter. When Mnt is present the array is not transcribed and the CRISPR/Cas3 System lacks ist gRNA and is inactive. Combined with the GlcNAc-6-P responsive repression system (BBa_K3096048) the expression of the array can be controlled.
