Design Notes

Aptazyme is composed of three different parts: Theo5 as a communication module, aptamer module specific to theophylline and P1 as a twister ribozyme mutated in the 14 and 15 positions (GT→TG) to inhibit the RNA cleavage activity. The no highlighted sequences correspond to the riboswitch module.
