Design Notes

Various combinations of promoters and ribosome binding sites were tested to see if triclosan resistance could be conferred. K314100 was the only part which gave sufficiently high fabI expression for resistance.


Source

FabI was PCR amplified from the genome of E. coli DH5-alpha to add the Biobrick prefix and suffix. K314100 was taken from the 2018 iGEM distribution kit.
