exosome marker (CD63-nluc)

This composite part is created by fusion of two proteins, CD63 (BBa_K2619003) and Nano luciferase (BBa_K2619004). CD63 is a member of tetraspanin family, which distributes densely on membranes of intracellular vesicles and exosomes. It is usually used as a marker for multivesicular bodies and exosomes. Nano luciferase (nluc) is a newly developed luciferase with small size. CD63-nluc is able to locate on the exosomal membrane, so it can be introduced into exosome-producing cells as a luminescence marker, then the collected exosomes can be quantified by luciferase assay.
