E. chrysanthemi ABC transporter PrtDEF might function well in the phylogenetically-neighboring genus E. coli.On the basis of the apparent molecular weights. Sylvie Letoffe et al. tentatively assigned the 60 kd protein to the prtD gene product (protein PrtD).
