Applications of BBa_K2522002

This plasmid would be applied to our project in the hopes of sensing ETEC, a pathogenic E. coli known for causing travelers stomach. By sensing AI-2 (quorum sensing molecules produced by ETEC) in the human GI tract, we can anticipate someone becoming sick. This plasmid would be grown up in a co-culture alongside Part BBa_2522000 to allow the plasmid to be incased in cellulose and still respond to AI-2.

This plasmid has been confirmed via sequencing and experimentally tested, but results were inconclusive in the experiment as the blank had contamination in it.
