Design Notes
The plasmid encoding protein E and its sequence were kindly provided by Dr. Irene Wüthrich. The sequence was codon optimized for efficient codon usage by Escherichia coli K-12 strain in Geneious. The parameters of the optimization were adjusted in order to avoid any restriction sites related to BioBrick assembly, namely AgeI, AviII, BamHI, BglII, EcoRI, NgoMIV, NheI, NotI, PstI, PvuII, SapI, SpeI, XbaI, XhoI. The final design was ordered as a gBlock.
