mms6 (Nanoparticles)

This is a device which was designed from the part K249016, mms6, which is an enzyme derived from the Magnespirllum Magneticum bacteria. This enzyme utilizes FeCl2 from solution to create Fe3O4 (Magnetite) nanopaticles of uniform shape and size. This construct was created in collaboration with the University of Alberta using their LifeBytes Plasmid Kit. The University of Lethbridge would like to thank the University of Alberta for their help in making this contribution to the Registry.
