During our project we were unable to generate a construct containing the XVE promotor so we unable to test the strength of this construct in vivo.
However the LexA promotor has been successfully used in many previous experiments so is a useful tool for future iGEM teams who wish to test the inducible expression of their gene of interest by comparing to the LUC+ output of this construct.
