Cleavable peptide sequence from Human Alpha-adducin

This is a linker consisting of a peptide sequence, which has been proven experimentally to be cleaved by the venom of Bitis gabonica and Bitis arietans. The specific peptide sequence of the linker is DDSDAATF.

Results of experiments

The peptides is cleaved by Bitis arietans and Bitis gabonica. It can be used to distinguish between these two Bitis snakes and Naja nigricollis.

In the graf below you are able to see the cleavage by all three venoms.
