Summary: A series of tests examining isobutanol resistance were run and the data compared to the resistance of a control strain. The data show that there is a significant reduction in isobutanol resistance in K2221002 (* p<0.05).

GlmY is involved in cell membrane structure as well as alcohol resistance. We think that the level of overexpression from the high efficiency promoter J23102 causes the cells to be more sensitive to environmental stress than control cells.
