RBS is located upstream of cph8
Cph8 consists of two parts, Cph1 and EnvZ. The extracellular part of Cph1 responds to light and the intracellular part of cph8 has resonse-regulator. EnvZ has histidine kinase domain that can regulate DNA expression via ompR. This part works associated with PCB. In the presence of PCB, omp promoter is repressed when exposed to light, and activated when unexposed to light. In the absence of PCB, omp promoter is relatively activated regardless of whether it is exposed to light(but not as activated as in the presence of PCB) Cph8 should be transformed into E.coli deficient in natural EnvZ
