Applications of BBa_K1125000
SrUCP may have the ability to transform Saccharomyces cerevisiae into a thermogenic yeast because of its nature of mediating the proton leaks across mitochondrial inner membrane. This is the natural function of SrUCP in skunk cabbage, Symplocarpus renifolius, which has an extraordinary warm spadix during cold seasons.
