RS 14:55, 18 October 2007 (EDT): As currently specified, this coding region of BBa_E0033 lacks an in frame stop codon. There should be an additional T before the AATAA (last 5 nucleotides) in order for the double stop codon to be in frame with the rest of the protein. Sequencing of BBa_E0433 indicates that the sequence in the Registry does reflect the physical part sequence. So the physical part also lacks an in frame stop codon. This may render lacZalpha nonfunctional. Mike Yee mutated BBa_E0433 to include the additional T to put back in frame the double stop codon. This new part needs to be submitted to the Registry.
