pTDH3: Yeast strong constitutive promoter

The promoter also called GPD promoter regulates the gene for glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH). GAPDH is found in the cytoplasm and the cell wall. It is involved in glycolysis and gluconeogenesis, where it catalyzes the reaction of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate to 1,3 bis-phosphoglycerate (and the reverse reaction). The TDH3 promoter is used to drive the expression of the TPST1 and TPST2 (Tyrosylprotein sulfotransferase 1 and 2), an enzyme necessary for the relative post-translational modifications of LHCGR receptor. The enzyme catalyzes the sulfation reaction of protein tyrosines.
