Phycocyanobilin synthesis operon
This operon contains two enzymes (Heme oxygenase and ferredoxin oxidoreductase) which together, synthesise Phycocyanobillin. This chromophore is found in cyanobacteria and the chloroplasts of red algae, glaucophytes and some cryptomonads.
It is required for the red light sensing protein Cph8 (BBa_K322124).
