GcvA gene
GcvA gene encoding the glycine cleavage activator transcription factor. This transcription is directly involved in the glycine cleavage system as it binds to promoter regions on the glycine cleavage operon, an operon which encodes genes such as P‐protein, H‐protein and T‐protein. All of these proteins are involved in glycine cleavage and glycine regulation. An example promoter region this transcription factor can directly promote is the gcvBp promoter.
