NLS

Part Description

It is a nuclear localization signal which is a short sequence of amino acids found in certain proteins that acts as a zip code, directing those proteins to the nucleus of a cell. In our model it is attached to dCas9(C) in the first chain of dCas9 synRTK receptor.

Usage

This part is attached to dCas9(C) so after activation of the receptor and dimerization of the two domains of dCas9 , NLS will direct the (dCas9-VP64-GAL4- UAS Trans CMV enhancer) complex into the nucleus.

this figure illustrates the structure of nuclear localization signal (NLS) which is attached to dCas9(c) in dCas9 synRTK receptor's first chain. .
