In their 2014 paper "[http://www.nature.com/nchembio/journal/v10/n3/full/nchembio.1453.html Negative selection and stringency modulation in phage-assisted continuous evolution]," Carlson et al., designed part J100264 when developing geneIII neg, the dominant negative allele of geneIII of the M13 phage. This DNA part comes from a collection of 8 plasmids numbers J100264 - J100271. They are used in Phage Assisted Continuous Evolution (PACE) which employs M13 phage and E. coli in a chemostat.
