TycC6 Module from Tyrocidine This is the CDS for TycC6 module from the Tyrocidine gene cluster of Brevibacillus Parabrevis. It is the first module in this cluster for the Non-Ribosomal-Peptide-Synthetase of the cyclic decamer Tyrocidine. This specific module TycC6 is responsiple for the binding of the last amino acid Leucine of the NRP. It consists of the A- (adenylation), PCP- (peptide carrier protein) and the TE- (thioesterase) domain. After the additon of Leucine from TycC the decapeptide undergoes cyclization to the final native Tyrocidine.
This bio brick can be used for the design of different NRPS. It was used in the synthetic Dipeptide, TripeptideI/II and TetrapeptideI/II of our project. Sequence and Features
