Design Notes

Our project aims to construct NOG pathway in C. tyrobutyricum L319 by introducing the phosphoketolase (F/Xpk) gene into the strain. Ptkt is a native transcriptional promoter in C. tyrobutyricum L319. We used this promoter to test if it can provide a robust expression in the strain. We also tested function of Ptkt promoter in the expression of Bs2 gene in C. tyrobutyricum.
