LtrB Group II intron tail part
A Group II intron is a retrohoming element that can mediate the insertion of itself to a certain location of DNA. The Lactococcus lactis LtrB intron is a group II intron that can target the ligated-exon sequence of the L. lactis ltrB gene. The general structure of wildtype LtrB Group II intron is showed in Figure 1.
This part is the tail segment of the intron RNA, ranging from the stop condon of LtrA protein to the end of the transcript.
