PmerT promoter+T3 polymerase
PmerT promoter is activated by intracellular Hg(II).When merR dimer bind Hg(II) in the cytosol, it will bind to PmerT and activate it, so the gene downstream will be expressed. T3 RNA polymerase can regulate downstream T3 promoter, which activate target gene's expression.By constructing these two parts together, we are able to regulate and express gene under T3 promoter, and this expression is indirectly regulated by intracellular Hg(II).
