This part has been the cornerstone of our [http://2009.igem.org/Team:Valencia iGEM 09 project]. It has been thoroughfully [http://2009.igem.org/Team:Valencia/Parts/Characterization characterized] and [http://2009.igem.org/Team:Valencia/Hardware used] in order to achieve a [http://2009.igem.org/Team:Valencia/Hardware/iLCD biological screen] with refreshing rates of up to 12s. This means that once one single yeast has emitted light, it can be used again in that time period.
