Usage and Biology
Vib-FolD is methenyltetrahydrofolate cyclohydrolase. The protein sequence is fromVibrio natriegens NBRC 15636 = ATCC 14048 = DSM 759. This protein is bifunctional methylenetetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase/methenyltetrahydrofolate cyclohydrolase, catalyzing the conversion of 10-formyltetrahydrofolate into 5,10-methenyltetrahydrofolate and then convert to 5,10-methylene-5,6,7,8-tetrahydrofolate during the tetrahydrofolate (THF) cycle(C1M). This part is used in BBa_xx and BBa_xx.
