Introduction
This composite part is composed of Hypsibius exemplaris mitochondrial single-stranded DNA binding protein (H. ex mtSSB) and improved ribozyme-assisted polycistronic co-expression system:pRAP. H. ex mtSSB can coat ssDNA to limit damage during desiccation and UV radiation.
Usage and Biology
We constructed SAHS 33020 into pRAP to endow E. coli with desiccation-resistant and anti-UV capability. And this composite part can cooperate with BBa_K4765112(ribozyme+T7_RBS+SAHS 33020+stem-loop) to increase the survival rate of E.coli under desiccation.
