FAcD (Rhodopseudomonas palustris CGA009)
Fluoroacetate Dehalogenase originating from the CGA009 strain of Rhodopseudomonas palustris, a robust microbe which has previously been used in experiments relating to the production of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs). Degrades fluoroacetate (FAc) to glycolic acid, and presents superior catalytic activity to other enzymes in the same category (Brown et. al, 2021)(10.1016/j.mec.2021.e0019).
