The genes encoding SPN1S endolysin and Rz-like spanin (SPN1S_0028 and SPN1S_0029) originate from Salmonella Typhimurium phage SPN1S (GenBank accession number NC_016761)(Lim et al., 2012). The gene encoding LysDZ25 originates from S. aureus phage DZ25 (Chang et al., 2023).
