OmpA-mCherry

The OmpA signal peptide(BBa_K4380001) is a short amino acid sequence found at the N-terminus of the OmpA protein in Gram-negative bacteria. The signal peptide acts as a recognition signal for the protein translocation machinery present in the bacterial cell. In the composite part OmpA-mCherry, 21aa long OmpA signal peptide is linked at the N terminal of mCherry(BBa_K2244008), which is used to test the function of OmpA.
