Introduction

LCA (256AA, 30kD),Lens Culinaris Agglutinin, is a lectin from lentils that can recognize α-linked mannose residues. It is a common lectin that can specifically bind to the LPS on the surface of S. elongatus PCC7942[1].

Usage and Biology

In our project, the surface display of LCA lectin on E.coli can mediate adhesion between E. coli and S. elongatus PCC 7942.We fused LCA with intimin, constructing K4765110 ribozyme+strong RBS+intimin-LCA fusion+stem-loop.LCA was outwardly oriented towards the medium for recognition and binding with S. elongatus PCC7942.
