CsgA-SmtA
CsgA is the major curli subunit protein of E.coli. Therefor, the surface display of SmtA, a protein belongs to Metallothionein family, achieved by linking to csgA.
IGEM_XJTLU 2022 verified the function of CsgA-SmtA by measuring the concentration of Cu(II) and Cd(II) adsorbed by SmtA protein on the surface of E.coli.
We used ICP-MS to measure the concentration of binding Cu(II) and Cd(II) on the surface of E.coli. For detailed information about our measurement method and result analysis, please visit our Experimentsand Resultson wiki.
