This plasmid is regulated by T7 promoter, Lac operator, and T7 terminator. With IPTG, RNA ligase will converge with T7 promoter which will then lead to the production of mRNA. Thus, protein and enzyme production will begin. Overexpression of dethiobiotin synthase and biotin synthase in E. coli
What is it?
In order to alter the metabolic pathway of E. coli and tend to a more productive way of Biotin, we enhance the metabolic pathway in the E. coli by increasing the expression of dethiobiotin synthase and biotin synthase. This plasmid is regulated by T7 promoter, Lac operator, and T7 terminator. With IPTG, RNA ligase will converge with T7 promoter which will then lead to the production of mRNA. Thus, protein and enzyme production will begin. The plasmid will only enhance the production of Dethiobiotin synthase and biotin synthase in E.coli achieving the goal of creating large amount of biotin.
