Fre(flavin reductase)
Flavin reductase (Fre) regenerates FAD to FADH2 using NAD(P)H.
Biology
Flavin reductase catalyzes the reduction of free flavin using NADH to produce free reduced flavin. The reduction of riboflavin by NADPH catalyzed by flavin reductase has been studied by static and rapid kinetics absorption spectroscopies. Static absorption spectroscopy experiments revealed that, in the presence of riboflavin and reduced pyridine nucleotide, flavin reductase stabilizes, although to a small extent, a charge-transfer complex of NADP+ and reduced riboflavin[1].
Usage
Here, we used BBa_K3722004 and to construct the expression system and obtained the part BBa_K3722006, it can increase the solubility of SttH on our engineered bacteria. Due to the limited time, we only constructed part BBa_K3722009 and BBa_K3722010, verified the protein expression by SDS PAGE analysis. As a result, there is a lack of quantized data about this part.
